August was an amazing month. I spent it driving around New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts; taking photos, singing with my father's band and many friends, reading a lot, learning how to drive boats and keep bees, and seeing people and places I love. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Two exciting things happening in photography:
Shot for my great friend Agatha's new baking company Ovenly! (will post a link when that's up soon).
Also shot for another friend's Spring look-book for her clothing company Salaam (all local models shot on location in gorgeous Vermont).

In the mean-time, it just makes me really happy to be putting time and energy into projects that are locally based and contribute to friend's and family's hard work and dedication.

Shooting a few things this weekend that I am looking forward to, had a dance performance last night w feliciia @ 3rd ward and next week im supposedly siniging in my dad's coutry band- I'll see if that actually happpens...;) Driving upstate on a tuesday night after working all day seems a little rough, but worth it. Supposed to sing some Patsy Cline tunes along w a few others, one called Two Steppin Texas Blue which is really pretty cute.

Oh, I'm also supposed to get a tattoo tonight, but somehow ive been having trouble beleiving certain things will come into fruition lately, not sure why.

It's November (Borden said it is cold and rainy in NYC today, tho my bday is in November, and I should have a certain affinity for it, that shit is abysmal in NY)-
Im sitting im pammy's bed facing a window that overlooks hills and tress; afternoon sunlight falling on them both. There are birds flying outside the window (admittedly these are pigeons, of which there are no shortage in new york!), her chocolate lab Jose is sitting next to the bed dozing off, the air feels warm and fresh. so good...I am happy.
I flew in yesterday, stopped by The Shins (heart them) shoot for NLYON, had drinks, went to dinner @ Elf Cafe (pam's friend scott's delicious new place in Echo Park) stopped @ The papermag party (not amazing Royal Trux played and it reminded me of when they played at the old GYM @ BARD in like, 1999, and I'd never really seen a girl looking like her before, they may look cool, have sweet guitar licks and a rockin vibe, but ultimately, that shit ain't amazin) and then the Little Joy (total dive, but so cute), then I climbed into pam's bed and passed out.
Tomorrow I'm working a video for Marvin (scott jarrett) and going back to sucko, cold weather, crabby ass New York.
